Robert Gailey, Ph.D.

Professor Robert Gailey serves as the director of the Center for International Development (CID). His experience and work has revolved around ways to engage the workplace and the church in helping address global poverty. He has served as an associate pastor, missionary, nonprofit leader, and educator around the areas of economic development, cross-cultural advocacy, and poverty alleviation.  He is an advisor to the student microfinance club and helps lead the San Diego Microfinance Alliance.

The Promise of Microfinance 

Craig McIntosh, Ph.D.

Professor Craig McIntosh is a development economist whose expertise focuses on program evaluation. His main research interest is the design of institutions that promote the provision of financial services to micro-entrepreneurs, and he has conducted field evaluations of innovative anti-poverty policies in Mexico, Guatemala, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania. He is a professor of economics at the UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy and serves as co-director of the Policy Design and Evaluation Lab.
